“Reflecting on God’s Faithfulness in 2025 and Looking Ahead with Trust in 2026”

As the festive lights of Christmas dim and the calendar page turns to January, we find ourselves standing on the threshold of a new year. 2025 has drawn to a close, and 2026 stretches before us, growing with possibility, new beginnings, and, above all, the unwavering presence of our faithful God.

Reflecting on God’s Faithfulness in 2025

First, I want to take a moment to reflect on God’s immense faithfulness throughout 2025. You celebrated births, mourned losses, and witnessed countless moments of grace within your church family. You saw your children grow in faith, our youth serve with dedication, and our community embrace one another in love. Through all the joys and challenges, God was uniquely present, guiding, comforting, and sustaining you.

Looking Ahead to 2026: Renewed Focus and Trust

January often brings with it a sense of renewal – a time for resolutions and fresh starts. Spiritually, too, it’s an invitation to reaffirm our commitment to Christ and His Kingdom. This year, as we step into 2026, I encourage each of us to consider how we can deepen our walk with God. Bible studies will continue to explore God’s Word, and I encourage you to join one if you haven’t already. There is always more to learn, more grace to discover, and more of Christ to embrace.

Our Mission, Our Responsibility, Our Hope

Let us carry into this new year the confidence that our Heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask. Let us trust in His provision, and let us respond to His endless generosity with cheerful hearts.

A Prayer for the New Year

As we embark on this new chapter, let us pray: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of a new year. Hear our prayers for Your guidance, Your strength, and Your peace in 2026. Renew our hope, deepen our faith, and empower us by Your Holy Spirit to serve You and our neighbors with greater love and commitment. Watch over our church, our school, and our community. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. I am excited for all that God has in store for us in 2026. May it be a year filled with His grace, His presence, and His abundant blessings for you and your family.

In Christ,

Pastor Shawn Kitzing, Interim Pastor
