Lutheran Woman's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For more than 80 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.


Lydia LWML Meeting Notes

September 1, 2026 - The Lydia LWML group met August 3 with six members present. Linda led devotions and prayer.

  •  Members reviewed upcoming assign-ments, treasury balances, and the Activities Assessment list.
  • They were also reminded to pray for their Dorcas and Confirmation Prayer Pals and Young Mothers.
  • Andrea is coordinating framing and supplies for the 52 Chrismons stitched by Wilma, with expenses covered by Thrivent funds.
  • The August 30 potluck will be held with the Sunday School Kickoff.
  • Christmas card sales will run September through October 25.
  • Gail and Linda plan to attend the South District Convention in Kearney September 18–19, and others are encouraged to attend. 

The next Lydia LWML meeting will be Monday, September 14, at 6:00 p.m.


Dorcas LWML Meeting Notes

September 1, 2026 - The Dorcas LWML met on August 5, with seven members and Pastor Kitzing present.

  • Margaret led the opening devotions "working in the vineyards". Serving the Lord is a privilege.
  • Pastor Kitzing led our Bible Study from Genesis 9 about Noah, and the rainbow.
  • We recited the pledge.
  • Minutes were read, treasurer’s report given, and Jayne reported on cards sent.
  • We decided to purchase $100 worth of diapers and wipes for the convention ingathering. We will ask Jeana if she will purchase them. Motion was made by Jayne, seconded by Deb, and passed.

We closed with prayers. Lunch was served by Margaret.
